Our story, year by year
- 1995
Service begins
As a Rotaract volunteer, Ahmed Ejaz joins polio eradication campaigns in Mansehra.
- 1997
Learning classical homoeopathy
Attends the International Homoeopathic Seminar of the Asian Homoeopathic Medical League in Lahore, 17 August 1997.
- 1999
Similia founded
Similia Homoeo Clinix™ is founded in Abbottabad by Dr. Ahmed Ejaz and Dr. Nadia Ahmed.
- 2000
Health educator
As a Rotaract member, completes a UNICEF-sponsored HIV/AIDS Training of Trainers program (13–16 November 2000).
- 2003
DHMS qualification
Passes the final DHMS examination on 29 September 2003 at Sarban Homoeopathic Medical College & Hospital, Abbottabad, followed by a house job from October 2003 to August 2004.
- 2004
Registration and clinical operations
Registered as a Homoeopathic Medical Practitioner by the National Council for Homoeopathy on 30 August 2004 (No. 102554); formal clinical operations begin on 9 November 2004.
- 2007
SHES founded
The Similia Health & Educational Society begins free consultations, health awareness, and free support for families living with thalassaemia.
- 2008
China Centre and registration
SHES is formally registered, and the clinic opens its premises at China Centre, The Mall, Abbottabad, on 9 November 2008.
- 2011
Hepatitis screening camp
On 5 June 2011, a free camp offers information, screening and nutrition guidance on viral hepatitis.
- 2012
Doctor Duago and Mansehra
The Doctor Duago newspaper column and SHES newsletter begin, and a second clinic opens in Mansehra.
- 2013
Rite Pharmacy and free camps
Rite Pharmacy is established, two free medical camps are held, and Dr. Ahmed Ejaz is recognized as a Paul Harris Fellow.
- 2014
Camps continue
Free medical camps on 23 March and 6 September.
- 2015
RIMS and two books
The Rite Institute of Mind Sciences™ opens on 1 January. Training in hypnosis (Karachi) and NLP (Lahore); Rite Healing and Asan Mindfulness launched at IHCON 2015, Mumbai; drahmedejaz.com launched; a free camp with a team of psychologists.
- 2016
Karachi and beyond
Conferences in Russia and Dubai; “Shape Your Destiny” training and a monthly clinic presence in Karachi; the “Break the Chain” program; Strategic Vision training in Lahore.
- 2017
Programs that inspire
“Shape Your Destiny” continues in Karachi, with the RIMS “You Can” program in Mansehra and “Live to Inspire” in Abbottabad.
- 2018
Learning online
Free health and personal-development videos reach a growing audience on YouTube.
- 2019
New platforms for learning
Honorary participation in the launch of the Institute for Personality Development, Abbottabad (12 October 2019), and a workshop on writing research papers.
- 2020
Through the pandemic
Online consultation and digital communication become an important part of service.
- 2023
Registered, recognized, serving
Similia is registered with the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Health Care Commission as a Category-III Health Care Establishment (17 August 2023); Dr. Ahmed Ejaz is appointed President of the Educational Wing, KP, of the Pakistan Homeopathic Medical Association; and SHES holds a free medical camp at Tarbela on 20 August 2023.
- 2025
Research and education in the USA
Dr. Ahmed Ejaz receives the Abdul Sattar Edhi Award from the Rotary Club of Abbottabad Valley for selfless service as a doctor. He and Dr. Nadia Ahmed then move to the United States to focus on research and education. From June 2025 the clinic and RIMS are run by their trained staff, and the RIMS–SHC Center for Mind-Body Integration Research takes shape.
- 2026
Registration renewed
The National Council for Homoeopathy renews Dr. Ahmed Ejaz’s registration to May 2030.
Similia Health & Educational Society

Founded in 2007 and registered in 2008, SHES is the community arm of Similia. Its volunteers have organized free medical camps, health-awareness sessions and training for women and young people, and worked with schools, colleges, local government and Rotary clubs.
